What is Bitácora Tours Express?
We are a travel agency located in Manaus (AM), authorized by Cadastur (Brazil's Ministry of Tourism). We specialize in air, ground and river tickets, parcel shipping and travel services to national and international destinations.
Is Bitácora a government-registered agency?
Yes. Bitácora Tours Express is registered with Cadastur, Brazil's Ministry of Tourism's registry for tourism service providers, guaranteeing security and legality in our services.
What are your service hours?
We attend Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturdays from 8am to noon. Outside these hours, you can send a WhatsApp message and we'll respond as soon as possible.
Flights
How do I buy a flight ticket with Bitácora?
Send a WhatsApp message with: route (origin and destination), travel date(s), number of passengers and desired class. Our team searches for the best fares and responds in minutes.
Does Bitácora sell international flights?
Yes! We handle international tickets to Venezuela, Colombia, Portugal, the United States and other destinations. We have special expertise on the Manaus–Venezuela route.
How far in advance should I buy?
For best prices, we recommend buying 2 to 6 months in advance. International tickets and popular destinations in high season should be booked earlier.
River Transport
How does river transport from Manaus work?
Bitácora coordinates tickets on scheduled boats (more economical, to Tabatinga, Santarém, Belém, etc.) and speedboats. Boarding is at the Manaus Floating Port.
What's the difference between a boat and a speedboat?
Scheduled boats take longer but are more economical and spacious. Speedboats are faster (halving travel time) but more expensive with less luggage space.
What should I bring on a river trip?
A hammock and rope to hang it (essential items), strong insect repellent, sunscreen, light clothing and a long-sleeve layer for nights, personal medicines, water, flashlight and documents in a waterproof bag.

Does Bitácora ship parcels to Venezuela?
Yes, we offer parcel shipping to Venezuela and other international destinations. We have years of experience on the Manaus–Venezuela route.
What items can I ship?
Clothing, electronics, medicines (with prescription), non-perishable food, documents and other items. Restrictions apply to hazardous, high-value or perishable items.
How long does delivery to Venezuela take?
Transit time varies between 7 and 21 days depending on the route and specific destination. For urgent shipments, ask about available express options.
